A 22 week STEPS program by DEWR in partnership with Ipswich City Council incorporating a total of 4 Gangs of 5 people to complete footpaths, landscaping retaining walls.
Under the Foreman - Jim Bunda and two leading hands Robert 'Nugget' Dodds and Marty Fernando have worked with these Gangs gaining the respect and admiration of fellow Council employees and the general public.

Under the project they can apply for any vacancies that become available within the Ipswich City Council and so progress into positions of fulltime employment.
For those who wish to use these programs as a stepping into employment that opportunity also exists and a recommendation is given to the future employer on their work skills and attendance.
The support and mentoring done by Jim Ralph Employment Consultancy has assisted this STEPS program into the highly successful venture and proving the commitment to work by the participants.

The Fire Ant Control Centre of the Queensland Department of Primary Industries in partnership with DEWR and Jim Ralph Employment Consultancy under the STEPS program are administering the Structured Training and Employment Project to:
increase the competency levels for Indigenous employees through action learning and training;
identify opportunities for career development;
promote tolerance of cultural diversity within the FACC workforce.
This project runs over 18 months and currently has (30) Indigenous participants who have the opportunity to utilize programs to enhance their skills base and long term career prospects with DPI. The success of the project can be gauged by the high retention rate of 98% .
Jim Ralph Employment Consultancy Pty Ltd is working with DPI to improve retention outcomes for Indigenous employees through their onsite mentoring and support program. Working together DPI and Jim Ralph Employment Consultancy Pty Ltd have an Indigenous employment program which is highly successful for the Department with Jim Ralph Employment Consultancy's sound employment strategies in place.
